Festival at the Switchyard

The City of Carrollton is excited to present the ninth annual Festival at the Switchyard in downtown Carrollton. This free family-friendly event will feature internationally known ’90s rock band Stone Temple Pilots, as well as opening acts Tonic and Vertical Horizon. Click here for the full entertainment lineup.

While exploring the festival, don’t forget to check out the beer garden, shop festival booths, discover the unique stores and eclectic restaurants of downtown Carrollton, and try a bite from one of the many food vendors. Kids can enjoy the free activity area, children’s entertainers, face painters, and more.

Games and Rides: Enjoy the extensive kid’s craft area, carnival games, bungee trampolines, zip line, inflatables, face painting, balloon twisting, and more. All free! Just make sure to get in line early as the face painting and balloon twisting booths shut down at 6pm, and rides and games shut down at 7pm.

Children’s Entertainment: An action-packed lineup begins at 12:30pm in the Plaza Arts Center featuring local entertainers sure to give an enriching and enjoyable experience to children of all ages. Watch in awe as stunt juggler Matt Tardy showcases feats of strength and flexibility with his world-class juggling act and stunts such as walking on nails. Prepare to be amazed as Corean Gonzales tricks and flips her way through a seven-hoop performance complete with giant slinkies. Get ready to laugh as Creekview High School Theatre puts on a short comedy show. Follow it up with a variety show for all ages that includes comedy, circus arts, and the bizarre from Landon Stark. Closing the Plaza entertainment is a daredevil magic show by Christopher Lyle that will take wild and incredible feats and combine them with vivid illusions.

All free for admission, parking, rides, games, and concerts.
