World’s Largest Christmas Maze

The first time I’ve ever heard about “Enchant Christmas” was just last year; bought my ticket and headed to Arlington to visit the “World’s Largest Christmas Maze”. Enchant was definitely an awesome experience that Noah and I really enjoyed so we HAD to go again this year and now I think this is going to be a new tradition for us. Especially since every year, they have a new theme. And this isn’t just an ordinary maze that you have to find your way out of, but it’s an interactive one where you have to find certain objects in the maze.

Besides the really long interactive maze; you also have ice skating, photos with Mr and Mrs Claus, food, markets, and live music.

If you haven’t already checked them out they will close on Dec 30th so you still have time. Get your camera ready to take great pictures that will last a lifetime!

Click here to check them out: Enchant Christmas

What can you look forward to with your family:

• Enjoy looking up at the 100ft Christmas Tree

• Navigate the Maze full of lights

• Visit with Santa and his Elves

• Ice Skate along the Trail

• Look out for Mr. and Mrs. Clause and the Carolers

• Head to the Holiday Marketplace to find unique vendors and fun Holiday Gifts

• Tons of Food and Beverages are available in the Concourse

What’s Good to Know?

• Where is it? AtGlobe Life Park, 1000 Ballpark Way, Arlington, TX

• Children 3 and younger are FREE

• Single Tickets start at $19.99 for Jolly Deals on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and pricing varies on Weekdays and Weekends with a Family 4-Pack from $64.99. Tickets are available for Market access only and with dogs on November 28 and December 27. The final 2 hours before closing also gives you discounted pricing with Merry Hour.

• Tickets are available on the door but are cheaper online, in advance.

• VIP, Season Pass and Group packages are available

• The Parking fee is $10 (VIP for $40) at Lots J, M and N.

• Ice Skating is $10

• The venue does allow Strollers (but not in the Maze – a Stroller Valet is available), but due to some tight spots, steps and potential crowds, if you can babywear it might be easier. Wheelchairs and Scooters are allowed in the Maze.

The Crayola Experience

Who would’ve known that crayons could actually be so much fun. So fun, that I spent 4 hours with crayons EVERYWHERE! If you haven’t checked out the Crayola Experience in Plano then you and your child/children are missing out!

The Crayola Experience has a total of 22 attractions most of which include coloring sheets, crafts, puzzles using crayons, 2 playgrounds and different Crayola stations for some more fun.

For younger ones (ages 3-6), my favorite attractions were the Be A Star, Color Playground, Toddler Town, & Scribble Square. These attractions involve little to no technology and wouldn’t cause a little one to lose interest quickly or get frustrated.

For older ones (ages 5 & up), my favorite attractions were the You Design, Color Magic, Adventure Lab, & Melt & Mold. These attractions involve some technology and dive deeper into more creative processes. If your child loves to explore and can work somewhat independently, I think they’ll really enjoy these.

General Admission into Crayola Experience Plano is $20.99 per person at the door. (2 and under are FREE.) This includes admission into the Experience and 2 tokens in your goodie bag. If you pay online, you can save $2 and skip the ticket line.

  • The Crayola Experience Plano is located INSIDE The Shops at Willow Bend. I recommend parking on level one of parking garage F. There are large signs now displayed on the parking garage and entrances into The Shops at Willow Bend that will guide you in the right direction.

If you plan on going or have already gone, leave a comment below. I’d LOVE to hear how your visit went.

A Peek Inside Sweet Tooth Hotel

If you’ve ever heard of The Ice Cream Museum, 29 Rooms or Happy Place… then you’re in for a BIG surprise! No, they aren’t coming but FINALLY, something similar is popping up here in Dallas and It’s called Sweet Tooth Hotel.

Sweet Tooth Hotel is a 1,200 sq. ft. experiential art and retail pop up in Dallas, it delivers five sugar-themed interactive rooms based on popular treats, with lots of hidden surprises to uncover and will be open from May 18 to July 31st in Victory Park.

TIP: When purchasing your ticket I would get 1 keyholder admission per group, especially if you have a child. This “key” will unlock cool treasures that you or your little munchkin can take home.

June is completely sold out! But you can still buy tickets for July. So, HURRY UP! Get your tickets here.

My Smoothie Recipe for Kids + Twistshake

This post was sponsored by Twistshake, but all thoughts and opinions are my own.

To keep Noah healthy, I am all about giving him really beneficial healthy ingredients in a way that tastes like a treat that he will actually enjoy. So, a few times a week or on a really hot day, we make a power smoothie either for breakfast or afternoon snack (to switch it up)! To ensure that he is getting all the important nutrients he needs.

The thing about smoothies is, it’s of course thicker than any other liquid because I am actually getting real fruits and veggies and blending these ingredients myself. So, what I LOVE to use when I make these smoothies is the Twistshake Sippy Cups. It has this awesome cap that prevents clogging and it’s super easy to just take apart and clean. It is also BPA-, BPS- and BPF-free which I am all about! You can read more about it here.

Here’s a look at the breakdown of the components of the Twistshake

Changing the donut game in Dallas

Wow Wow Wow!

I mean, where has this been all my life? I LIVE for all things that are ABOVE and BEYOND what it should really be. If you know me, you know simplicity is not in my vocabulary.

Allow me to begin by saying, your child/children will LOVE this place! The interior designing has this cute home vibe and it’s super spacious so your kids will be running wild in there lol cause Noah sure was; especially with all the donuts he ate. Talking about donuts, OMG!!! TO DIE FOR! Well, at least he was acting like he was about to, if he didn’t get his hands on the worm donut (insert rolling eyes emoji here) lol.

Let me tell you, these donuts not only look amazing but taste amazing too. Wow! Donut & Drips is such a great place to not only eat there but also get donuts for any kind of event so your dessert table is totally Pinterest worthy lol. It really gives a whole other meaning to donuts, and I am not sarcastically speaking this time.

When it comes to the price of these donuts, it varies on how over the top the donut is. But you WILL want to buy majority of the top-notch donuts, so just go ahead and come after your payday lol. Oh’ and I can’t forget to mention the most important part of Wow! Donut & Drips is that they’re open 24-hours a day, 7-days a week! I mean… I totally get the name now, WOW indeed.

See for yourself!

Better than Chick-fil-A?

Yupp, you read that title completely right! Never did I ever think I’d say this but I think I just found a place that’s better than Chick-fil-A. And here I am spilling the beans for you.

First of all, let’s talk about how amazingly cool the design on Super Chix looks like.

Just look at these photos! And before you think or say anything just know that these photos are NOT edited whatsoever! These are raw images straight from the camera. If you’d like to go get a napkin real quick for your drool , i’ll wait….

Great! you’re back.

I LOVE all things avocado so, I ordered the Bacon, Egg and Cheese Avocado minus the bacon and OMG that was the best burger I’ve ever eaten. It’s my two favorite things combined into one and oh’ how mouth watering that was lol, and I’m not even exaggerating one bit.

Hubbs ordered the simple sandwich, which is identical to the Chick-fil-A spicy chicken sandwich.

And can we talk about the side options that Super Chix has and Chick-fil-A does not? Like the fries covered in cheese and the fried pickles (insert drooling emoji here).

They also had this cute play area in the back/outside. So, you can definitely enjoy your meal while your offspring is outside playing. And yes it is gated so you don’t have to worry about anything happening to them. Honestly, if you haven’t tried this place out you MUST!

Fall Feels In DFW

The leaves have changed colors and are falling all around us. The weather has started to change and cool, even whisper of hints of snow. Halloween has come and gone, and Thanksgiving is right around the corner. I am eating soup at least once a week and hot chocolate sounds good every second of every single day. It’s official, we are in what might possibly be my favorite season.

Not only do I love the season and all it brings, I absolutely love, love, love dressing for it. Layers, jackets, boots, coats, beanies, booties, sweaters, hoodies, and on and on and on. Dressing for the Fall brings so many options and so many wonderful looks.

Today’s post Noah is wearing a shawl collar sweater that is beyond comfortable, can be found here, and I paired it with some brown boots. Boots seem to be a staple and common theme in many Fall looks, you can find these boots here

What are you favorite Fall pieces to wear? Leave a comment below and share! I would love to hear your ideas and know what you type of items you wear over and over in the Fall! Part of creating your own looks and developing your own sense of style is looking at other’s ideas/inspiration and then experimenting what best fits what you like, what you enjoy pairing together, and what you want fits YOU. Stepping out of the your comfort zone, trying new pieces and new looks is huge to developing your own style. Taking inspo and gathering ideas from many different channels can help you to analyze options, weigh pros and cons, and really zoom in on what you like best and what makes your style and taste unique to you.

Happy Wednesday to all of you and thanks for following!

Here are some other cool outfits I think you would love. Click the photo to get more details.

State Fair of Texas

Howdy y'all!

That time has come once again! Bring out those walking shoes, whip out those super stretchy pants and most of all don’t forget your wallet and get ready for the GREAT State Fair of Texas!

It’s no secret, but I’m still gonna say this anyway because as a Texan, I literally can’t keep myself from bragging about all the fried food that the fair has to offer. Forget about your diet, forget about calories and carbs, just let your soul be free. The fair only comes around once in a year right? So, just let it happen.

And I know I’m kinda late writing about the fair considering that the fair has been open since September, but better late than never lol

So, if you haven’t gone to the fair yet or you’re not from Dallas. Don’t worry, I’ll be giving you all the deets right here.

To keep it nice and simple.

The State Fair of Texas runs for one month, usually from the end of September to the end of October. The fair holds more than 100 daily shows, live music and family-friendly activities like rides and games. A trip to the State Fair of Texas provides endless amounts of fun for every guest. Every year many concessionaires spend the entire offseason concocting new foods to showcase at the State Fair and this year doesn’t disappoint.

Must-haves and Stay-away-froms

I’m not a professional chef or food critic or anything so I’m just throwing my opinions out there, to catch them or to not- the choice is yours.

But who doesn’t LOVE sweet tea?! But yall! The fair had SWEET TEA SLUSHIES! And even though it’s literally almost November, Texas weather can be crazy sometimes and it can still feel like summer. That sweet tea slushie cooled down my soul!

Most of the time I try and stick to a healthy diet, but I have to be honest, if I’m not drinking water I’m drinking sweet tea! My heart called out to this new slushie sweet tea and I absolutely loved it! But, if you’re not much of a sweet tea kind of person there are many many more drinks out there for ya.

On to the next amazing wonder of the State Fair of Texas.

Now! Let’s talk about the A M A Z I N G “Funnel Cake Bacon Cheeseburger” Yes! You read that right…

I know some of us go to Six Flags just for funnel cakes. And I know everyone loves a really good burger.

So I guess one day a genius decided to put those two things together and ya know what? I LOVED IT! So when you go to the fair don’t forget to eat it quickly! If you let it sit too long the funnel cake won’t be as soft and as delicious as it would be hot.

On to the things I wasn’t so fond of lol

I am addicted to avocados, I think they’re the best fruits ever. So, if you’re an avocado lover (like me) DO NOT TRY the fried avocado lol. I know that totally sounded confusing but I ate more fried flour than I did the avocado, I really didn’t enjoy it 🙁 Which is a bummer because I was hoping to love it considering I love avocado, but this wasn’t really that enjoyable.

Last but definitely not least, everyone who goes to the fair MUST get the turkey leg! It’ll take a lot of your tickets, but it’s definitely worth it in my opinion. Besides Thanksgiving Day, the fair is another day of the year I am able to eat turkey. Which really excites me lol.

Check out some of this year’s featured new food HERE.

Free Admission for Kids of all ages in DFW

Somewhere around the ages between 2-4, you notice every outing seems to become more expensive. Restaurant bills double because children are now eating your whole plate of food and now you’re forced to get them their own.
