Free Admission for Kids of all ages in DFW

Somewhere around the ages between 2-4, you notice every outing seems to become more expensive. Restaurant bills double because children are now eating your whole plate of food and now you’re forced to get them their own. Even admission to your favorite DFW destination can make your wallet explode!….

I feel your pain parents! And that’s why I’ve hunted the web for all things DFW and have found FREE ways you can enjoy yourself with children without being confined in your home.

Keep reading to learn about museums, events, and venues around DFW that offer Kids Free Admission. While many of these locations offer year-round free deals for children’s tickets, I’ve highlighted a few special events around town that also offer FREE admission for the whole family!

Every Saturday starting at 11:30 A.M., children and families are invited to enjoy the amazing FREE entertainment provided by Slappy’s Playhouse. Not only does this cost you nothing to attend, but you can expect more free entertainment just by staying to play on the 3rd floor indoor play ground!

Home Depot’s Kids’ Workshops :
The First Saturday of each month, your local home improvement store hosts a FREE workshop just for kids ages 5-12 (though this is just a guideline!). From 9 A.M. -12 P.M., kids will learn handy skills by making their own projects such as a chalkboard door hanger, birdhouse, or race car. Each child who participates the entire class will receive a certificate of completion, an official Home Depot Workshop apron, and Pin, plus craft to take home! Registration is appreciated to help them ensure enough supplies, and parents are expected to stay and participate!

Lakeshore Learning:
If you are looking for an educational experience, join Lakeshore Learning (Dallas North Tollway & Alpha) for “Free Crafts for Kids” each Saturday from 11A.M. -3 P.M. These FREE crafty classes are designed for children ages 3+, and no reservation is required!

Trinity River Audubon Center:
Explore for FREE the 3rd Thursday of every month. No strings attached.

Watermark Church Tree Fort: Okay, so this isn’t a formal event or activity, but it’s still 100% FREE! As seen in our 7 Days of Indoor Play post, the play area inside Watermark Church (LBJ & Park Central) is open to the public. Since it revolves around their service and class schedule, be sure to check the “open” hours at the bottom of their Common Questions.
